Student Spotlight: Brooke Knight
What is your position/title at The Learning Center?
I am a Supplemental Instruction leader partnering with a general psychology class.
What do you enjoy most about working with MSU students?
I love the diversity. Every student who comes to my sessions has a different story and background, and it is an amazing experience to be able to sit down and ask them where they're from and what the love about MSU.
What is the most important advice you would give students?
Study hard but also get out there. Meet new people. Discover something new. Never in one place again will you be surrounded by people from so many different walks of life who are all working to the same goals as you. Learning does happen in the classroom, but you will also learn so much more by just sitting down and having a conversation with your fellow schoolmates.
Why should students take advantage of The Learning Center?
The Learning Center has so many different resources to help in every class. From the computer lab to tutors and Supplemental Instruction, the Learning Center is well equipped to help any student who is struggling in class.
What are your hobbies or what do you do during your spare time?
In my spare time, I love to pick up a book and a cup of coffee and just read. One the simplest enjoyments in life is a great novel on a rainy day.
What is your major/hometown?
I am from Collinsville, Mississippi and am a psychology major.
I love attending family group, which is a small group Bible study that is held weekly.
